Expected this one to be a dialed-up version of the classic 86. That wasn\'t the case, the 100 has those great notes on the nose of classic Old Forester but a weaker flavor experience on the palate and spicier finish. Higher proof doesn\'t equal bigger flavor in this case. Look to the 1897 for 100pf big flavor, or the 86 for lower proof neat sipping.
